Camber Sands is one of the best places for beachcombing in the UK and between October and April, this magnificent beach is even dog friendly. Enjoy some wind surfing, kite surfing or swimming but remember to stay between the flags. If you venture to the western end of the 5 miles long beach, you’ll find wall to wall sand where the River Rother empties into the sea. If you're staying on park the beach is right on the doorstep, but there is a car park should you choose to drive. Nearby is the village of Camber where you can enjoy some of the local cafés and shops. The fabulous views and vast dunes provide a perfect spot for an afternoon stroll or a picnic. Camber Sands beach is the only beach in East Sussex where you’ll find golden sand rather than pebbles and shingle.
